Susan Lisman talk to me about sump pumps please!
16 May 2017 | 10 replies
This is where the sump pump will be installed, and it will pump out the water that flows to it from the perforated pipe.Once the pipe is laid, the contractor will repour the concrete to cover it up (you won't know it's there other than the new concrete will likely be a few shades lighter than the old concrete) and may install a water vapor barrier on the walls to direct any water that gets through the walls down into the pipe. The whole process can generally be done in a day or two with a typical sized basement, and expect to spend $100-300 per linear foot of basement wall that requires the drain (in most parts of the country).
