If the underwriter isn't willing to specifically answer your question via your agent (which in most cases they won't), then your agent certainly won't provide you with any specific direction either.

This is not a bad deal you've outlined, but not a good one either.Most seasoned investors look for properties that they can either:1) Get below market price2) Get seller financing3) Can somehow "reposition" via cost-effective improvements for higher rents, or adding a unitWith the market cooling off, you should find more and better deals.

Buy all multi-family properties via mortgage w/20% down payment + deal w/the terrible interest rates, and hope to eventually be able to refinance at a lower late?
