We also just had a supposedly reputable doctor who was shut down and arrested for running a pill mill.I think this is the first lawyer I ever saw a post in a forum streaming questionable practices without the standard disclaimer that this is not legal advice and you should consult your attorney, state regulations etc etc.

So I suppose my primary interest in this real estate stuff is a desire to scratch that renovation itch and turn a profit in the process.

My landlord is my sister whose family had to move unexpectedly due to her husbands job relocating them so they had me rent from them so they could leave a lot of their belongings at the house without taking too much with them since the move was only supposed to last a year and now it is longer.

But, just like tenants sometimes ignore paying the rent when they're supposed to. 

It's a lagging indicator but I suppose that's the best we have since population doesn't change much, correct?

I suppose finding a contractor is another story.

I know I am supposed to receive the rent in about 5 business days but does any know when the money is actually withdrawn from the TENANT'S checking account?

This supposed to be a wet our feet type of deal.
