So as others have stated experience is definitely a key factor but I feel like across all of these experiences there are a number of inefficiencies at play.However the fact that no investors have responded to my post indicates perhaps I've just had really bad luck.

I do have customer service background working in high end restaurants in Orlando for 8 years (getting food shopped all the time and passing with 100%) and feel I would be an excellent asset to someones property in it becoming a successful STR.

With over 20 years in real estate and thousands of deals under my belt, I'd say there's definitely a cozy feeling to owning your primary home outright.
