Just curious to see the perspective from an international investor on the types of things you are looking for in a market when potentially investing from afar. 

I really just want to know more about the deals as a whole and what they are all about from an outside looking in perspective!

The one member assumes he can't participate, but I wanted to get a clearer understanding and perspective thru third party opinions.

Wylie schools are rated pretty good and a decent 3 bedroom SFH can be had for low 200s giving a rental yield of about 0.8%.I know lot of people here are looking at ft worth to buy properties in sub 200 - 200k range but between wylie and ft worth, I would think that Wylie is a better option from all angles.Interested in knowing other experienced investors perspective

You live in 1, rent out the rest, but its still owner-occupied by you.From an insurance perspective, you walk a fine-line.

I told him to just hang on and I'll see what I can find :-) Granted, this is probably less than 5% of his investment funds to keep it in perspective.

If your looking to move fast, make sure your not one of the more expensive units on the market, Sometimes offering at the middle of the market will make the unit seem more like a deal to perspective tenants.

This is where my perspective comes from.

To put it in the buyers perspective - that's almost 20% on $100K.
