If you are new to a market that has a lot of big players there is a risk that the inventory being shown to you is the properties that those in the know didn't want (and then you have to wonder why, unfortunately often times our egos get in the way to take a step back and question your great deal as hard as you might).

Being slightly larger than a mom and pop, but not quite a national player, I don't see it making financial sense to adopt the necessary policies to comply (and I am not suggesting noncompliance) on our own.Now if the process could be streamlined to where one could hire a professional (mortgage originator, attorney, whoever) to handle those details at a reasonable cost, then I would be game.
