You can ask the lender to send you a consumer copy of the credit report and you should also receive something by mail within the first week or 2 of the credit pull with the bureau scores on them.Lenders must receive your verbal (or written) authorization to pull credit.

I would sell the property and use the profits, if any, toward the next house whether as down payment to reduce your VA funding fee or use it for rehab to get some sweat equity or maybe even to reduce any consumer debt you may have to lower your personal expenses.
