I live in the hudson Vallley and I came across this article and it put a damper on my plans... please comment!

Leverage short sales to get good prices and plan on holding them a while, either as rentals or lease options.I have, however, read an article lately saying there may be a lot of rentals on the market as rehabbers end up stuck with properties they can't sell and rent them cheap just to staunch the bleeding.

I came across an article about Buying Tax Deeds for pennies on the dollar (i.e. buying a home for $1,000 free of mortgage and owning a home possibly worth $50K or $100K and then reselling it for a huge profit).

I was just reading an article on that very issue this morning.

(Seasonal)Worked some dumb jobs over winter and took a month off, then I just started back up on Construction last month and now im making about 5500 NET a month..I have not enough credit to even get a credit card..I have bills , Rent, Insurance, Cable/Internet, Cell phone, etc all PAID FULL on time for the last 6 months, So if that counts...Before that I had a cell phone for 3 years always paid on time..Anyways , doubtful?

Oh well, I was able to log on to Bigger Pockets after paying a tech $275 to get my internet service working on the new mac.

There was a great article about New York coop assessments and how much this impacts various owners in todays paper on line.

But the draw backs are not having the income from my current job and also lack of benifits.I just feel like the days pass by so fast but I can't get anything accomplished because by the time I get settled in at home its 7-8 pm and i relax for an hour go to bed and get up at 5am :protest: So its almost impossible to find the time to do anything more then read books, articles, check listings every now and then...etc
