My experience is they usually blow a lot of it on ridiculous things, and that is wonderful for a short while.

All I can say is if you are selling to an FHA buyer pool, IMO you have to be patient (appraisals and ridiculous inspections) and have the cash to carry the property about 30 days longer than conventional buyer pool.
