I get it marked down at Home Depot or Lowes for under $1.50/ sq foot.

I am starting a 1338 square foot 3 bed 2 bath two story home in Leander tx (78645) The first floor is 810 square foot plus 220 square foot carport and 121 square foot porch for a total of 1151 square foot on the first floor (slab.)

The longer it's empty the higher the likelihood it gets broken into and your footing that bill as well as the lost rent. 

The real estate agent priced the house lower then any house in the neighborhood but still a couple $ more per Sq foot.
