I'd suggest joining the ones for areas you plan on wholesaling in.

Although I will continue to research on it and follow the accounts provided in this thread.

@Stephen Bass, I'd use the 1031 plus good DST purchases to create additional depreciable basis. 

I'd do it bc the potential profit would be more on my end.

I'd start with the house-hack and then venture to OOS investing when you're ready for the next purchase. 

I'd love to connect if anyone is following this strategy in the Temple/Belton area.

Although when doing this in 08 to 2011  I was afraid to even look..And my banks had me on a very short leash I had to provide financial every 90 days if I wanted to keep my large lines of credit.
