A couple of tenants really seemed to enjoy it and one was just a shot in the dark and was soon out anyway...

.$100 extra rent a month compared to a tenant that smokes and is on section, You definitely have a guaranteed $1600 coming in from the government each month the $300 is not Guaranteed..or$100 less to a tenant with a Great paying job, Great credit score, None of the rent is guaranteed but with the high credit score their is a great chance you will be paid each month and you can't guarantee that they won't smoke in the home..

It needs more than 2 coats if the base is dark. 

It may need repairs and/or have code violations, roaches, mold, cat smell/smoke smell and whatever.  

Neighbors usually know all of the dark, dirty secrets with the home, block, and neighborhood.Great for recon info!

I find them dark and ugly.

Since this time, I have had several issues; first they didn't pay their rent for a month, and now I am receiving reports of cigarette smoke in the apartment next door from them.
