Can they do something bad in my name just by sending them my details?

Hello my name is Carolyn , my husband Ron and I are just beginning to consider flipping houses, we are semi retired in the Daytona Beach, Fl area , we own and operate a state licensed Roofing company and would like to find others in the area who we might consider partnering with, if there is a good fit, Ron is a retired carpenter with hundreds of remodeled homes to his credit, hope everyone has a blessed day and finds the true Joy of friendship.

Maybe it's random bad experiences ( as in: "No way I'm working with a broker/HML/whatever again after that nasty deal last year..." )?

@Justin YoungI agree with @Brent Coombs - this strategy isn't bad, but it will be very slow.

Having even the impression that they had a bidder, who you turned off to look at your item is a quick way to get a bad rep and kicked out of future ones.

Look into getting an FHA loan, talk to a lender and see what you might be missing to qualify.. might need a little more income or more credit, a good lender will point you in the right direction if you couldn't immediately qualify that is. 

I don't have excellent credit, but do have good credit -- 680-690.

He'll probably need some local banks or credit unions on this one or be able to BRRRR it using his own cash or private money.

Is this a right way to go about it or a bad way?

If not, I think if you try and piece this together you are going to wind up in a bad spot....
