You have to go to the zoning board to get it approved but it is typically a formality, unless the neighbors push back it should get approved.

We are moving to another home that we have renovated, and will be renting out our primary residence on a long-term lease.

The better location house is something that could be used as a short term rental too and or we have considered just keeping it for ourselves at a later date.
