No question, rental real estate is the best investment provided you assess the risks and make it work for you.

Here are a few ideas:- HELOC: depending on how much equity you have in your property, you may be able to apply for and borrow against that equity- DSCR: BP now has a find a lender link and I'm happy to recommend mine as well if you'd like; there are lenders who do loans based on the future rental value of the property- Borrow from your 401k: typically you're able to borrow up to $50k and if you have multiple 401ks, borrow from multiplesHopefully this gives you some ideas of other options to bring in some cash for your investment!

Find out their rental values too.

im new to rental property investment.. we own our home with approx. 65,000 in equity and would like to use some of it to buy our first rental property here in the states ( we have on STR in Dominican Republic).

Run some estimates now on potential future earnings if, at some point, you didn't live in the house and instead it was used as 100% rental.

It also has a strong rental market that would be ideal for targeting cash flow. 

Typically about 75-125 people in the room and probably half or more own or manage rentals. 

An LLC can provide a layer of protection by separating your personal assets from your rental business.
