This is nothing more than a venting session on my part and an opportunity for you all to share your frustrating experiences as well!  

The opportunity cost of letting them stay is very important to consider.

There are some good opportunities here, imo, but I'm afraid the environment combined with the crime rate will stop people from renting or buying here.Is a whole seller someone with a different strategy compared to the fix and flip guys?

I am a fix/flipper in a tight market and looking to expand my opportunities past the usual. 

If yo are focusing one Windham and Hunter then you will see seasonal opportunities.

I missed this opportunity in post-USSR, especially in Moscow.

Move on to the next" - that's the part which hangs up the folks who are still stuck in the "dearth of opportunities" mindset.

As someone just getting into real estate, it can seem very daunting at times; however, the more time we spend on here the easier it is to realize the opportunities are out there and we just have to put in the effort to make it work.Any advice you would give to those just starting out?

Trying to use this opportunity as my unfair advantage to build a nest egg before returning home to Ontario.
