I have a property that is a townhouse catagorized as a second home.After I purchased my wife's son moved in and has been paying rent.I am wondering is it more beneficial from a tax standpoint to keep the home catagorized as such or switch it to a rental unit for accounting purposes ?

i've liquidated some of my stocks to fund my real estate investing. as long as you project better return from real estate (remember you get taxed on your capital gain so put that into your consideration), you can liquidate your assets and buy real estate. alternatively, you can do self-directed IRA which allows you to buy stuff other than mutual funds in your IRA.

I felt not being respected and being taken advantage of so I refused, and would like to sign the mutual release to get out of the contract.11.24.18 - before I get my earnest money back and the signed mutual release, the seller’s agent put the house back on the market!
