I brought this up at closing and the seller signed a written agreement to fix the water issue.In the past year and a half I have had over 10 contractors (delegated by the seller) take a look at the crawl space but have not heard anything after the first meeting and are unreachable when I follow up.Has anyone had a similar issue?

They only have half and they want to pay the other half later.In my mind that seemed like a red flag so I told the property manager to hold off and keep showing the house unless the prospective tenant has the full deposit amount plus first months rent.Did I do the right thing?

It's not a raise, it's a cost of living increase meaning the same wage you've always had, adjusted for inflation.So I would have to agree as well that let's assume hyper inflation kicked in and out dollar was worth half as much meaning $1,000/month rent becomes $2,000/month rent and someone making $50,000/year now makes $100,000/year while at the same time out mortgage was locked in prior to all of this.
