You are correct, the City of Chicago infrastructure is old, with every extensive re-hab and new construction 99.9% of the time they city will require a new water service.

Is your comment based on the overall structure of the homes or are you basing it on all the other infrastructure in the house: Plumbing, Electric, Sewing, Roofs, HVAC, .... etc?

I do have a small portfolio of car notes and I just pay a company to monitor the insurance and such and if any problems they just repo the car and put it back on the lot.
