I plan to sell one of my properties once I get my taxes in order, but that's a whole other issue.  

This goes back to dealing with the small space issue, later you'll see it made a difference.

Hello BP,This is a late post but I wanted to gather the intelligence of the community on an issue I'm fighting with consciously.

This warrants one very frank friend to friend conversation and if that doesn't solve the issue your "friend" is violating your lease agreement and exposing you and your property. 

Especially if you say you want to do > 30 days to avoid all the issues with STR. 

I ran into this issue with crowdfunding, being that I am a non-accredited investor, thus, I resorted to the stock fund investment path.

.' :)Well, more than anything, I can't speak to anything in Jacksonville right now because it's possible that duplex is now underwater :( Not sure on the flooding issues from Irma, but I know they are severe.

So fixing issues as they come up and getting places ready to rent seems like a walk in the park on paper.

Just wanted to pass this along in case someone else runs into the same issue. 

That seems like a turbotax nightmare lol, time for an accountant I suppose.The other option would be for us to just pay cash which is an option as well and would eliminate a lot of these issues.
