Then when you do that, why would they want to buy at more than your purchase price? 

I wouldn't buy any short-term rental without doing that analysis in the first place, especially if it's overseas.If you buy a property in Mexico and pay cash for it, it's gonna be hard not to turn a profit when renting short-term given how low the costs are.

I'm currently exploring the possibility of buying my first home in the Pine Hills area of Orlando, with the intention of house hacking.

I am wanting to expand my portfolio and buy a multifamily rental here in Austin, Nashville or any other market that makes sense to grow with.

Instead I would pull the cash out to buy the home in NC.

Most of my customers in CA tend to buy their primary in Cali but build their investment portfolio outside the state.

If you want to buy more rentals -  consider leveraging the  property to get  cash
