It is something that you should track the details/progress throughout the year.The IRS may require a log of the hours spent in the case of an audit.

This is significant work involved getting to the point where someone would close "10 deals using investors in one week" and it can be discouraging comparing ones perceived progress to someone else. 

Or should I serve one notice at a time, giving them 3 days to perform each one progressively?

Since he is military , and this situation is not his fault nor could be anticipated , I will work with him to different degrees as time progresses
