Yes, I can afford the mortgage alone if needed… but paying that, in addition to getting the units ready for new tenants could be pretty pricy and I may have to pick up extra shifts/grey hairs in the process.

The solution to both is to devise some sort of pod structure that uses a loft bed where the bed is over the desk, perhaps on a pulley system to raise it to the ceiling during the day.
