Now, I need about $50k in repairs to get it back to livable again and I haven't been able to find a mortgage product anywhere with this credit score and a property that anyone driving up will see is damaged.  

Using the logic of interest rates driving housing prices, prices should have been free falling for those 45 years.

Such a drastic increase would most likely drive them to move out.

I need to get rid of a squatter for them before I can drive back south to Texas.

Make sure you have an agent who’s going to work for you day in and day out, I’ve had to drive a good five hours/ 150 miles a day to get to the locations that are making deals happen, but that’s honestly what it takes.

This drives the appreciation in part, that I mentioned in #13.

If you are honest with yourself, you may realize that you would be better off driving for Uber in your spare time instead of trying to renovate a house; or you may be better off working harder at your day job and trying to get a promotion and bigger paycheck.

But short drive to Flagler, St Augustine, Daytona, Ormond, etc which all have great beaches. 

Opinion on sustainability of that program ?
