I know many want to jump in without knowledge and "get rich quick."

This would seriously harm you if you were leveraged.Again if you really consider this (hyper-inflation and resulting complete breakdown of society) to be an eminent threat, you should be investing in some land to "bug-out" to and learning how to survive the collapse of civilization as we know it.As a rule, inflation makes the rich richer and the poor poorer and decimates the middle class.

I think its a lot of people get in thinking it is a fast way to riches, and when they realize it is just as hard if not harder to build this business than any other business they move on to next venture.

I am going to check out those books @Brandon Turner I am a big fan of the Rich Dad and Rich Dad Adviser series.

Hi everyone,Quick introduction, I'm a young(ish) doctor from Los Angeles and first got turned onto real estate after reading "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" like seemingly everyone else here.
