Last I heard, they were second highest in the country, with Miami being #1.If you have a loan on your property, your lender will typically require you to carry "Named Storm Coverage" (NSC) insurance.

It's those maniacs that buy homes cash via quit claim deed off of craigslist that really get screwed.Make sure your property manager is a licensed real estate brokerage.Understand you can not eliminate all risk, only mitigate it.
