Hey all,I am currently looking into properties with JWB and would love hear about you recent developments with Jax Investments before pulling the plug.

 ( I am not plugging for more sales here, just trying to help a fellow investor out for a house to live in).

I am doing this for 2 reasons - 1 is that it will provide some "grid-tie backup" to the system, avoiding the situation I have now dubbed "The Hysterically Butt-Hurt Hairdresser Who Unfortunately Has My Phone Number", and it will drastically take down the demand load on the electric heaters, which can be in turn powered in part by the solar PV array.  

But it depends on how important response time is to you in case of emergency.Nest has promised affordable door and window sensors (in the future) that interact with the thermostats, I like that based on security and energy savings, same with smart plugs connected to space heaters and AC, but that’s the limit of my interest in “smart home tech” in a rental.I’ll keep you posted on if I notice energy savings.

@Sanjay Patel they can find those deals because they have a good sized team of talented people in smartly defined roles under a highly effective org structure, they are armed with data, they work their butts off, and they are extremely creative and strategic in their negotiations.
