So in that respect it is a good option, and location is also very good.These are all studio apartments with a living area of 392 SF (not too bad from Waikiki standard), however the price in this building has already gone much higher over the past few year.

Consistency with contractors and controlling material costs can make all the difference.

Hi all,I own a condo and I am thinking of going down the MTR route vs long term.  

In general, big banks dont invest a lot in their mortgage arms because they arent all that profitable.

All of the above will work with some consistency and luck.

I have been interested in investing in US real estate for quite some time and have spent the summer reading books and getting a bit more familiar with it all.
