@Dominique MicklesYou should be able to find some cash flowing properties in chicago or at least within a 2 hour driving radius of the city.There are deals out there that are profitable - you just need the experience analyzing deals.

I find getting loans on the residential side of a bank tedious and time consuming and dealing with Freddie and Fannie arduous. 2) If you are going to manage the properties yourself, before buying the property ask yourself would you drive there at 11PM in January?
