The reporters concern was about rooming houses, but the Mayors answer encompasses those 2 families, the type that I own.All of these issues are local, handled by its respective building departments, planning departments, zoning boards, and believe it or not, home owner associations which I'll get to later.My own 2 family is a good illustration.

They can tell you the range in rents and what to expect.Not everyone will be willing to help but if you let them know you are just looking for some basic feedback and are respectful of their time often you will get feedback.
