Lakefront properties in general have a great appeal in the STR world..with the right touch and whistles..it can turn out to be a better deal in the long run..

He HAS mentioned he wants to do something about the curb appeal when the weather warms up. 

Whatever that's worth.I took a wealth of photographs and video of the building, trying to highlight all of the suspect parts of the building i could find, trying to be as nit-picky as i could be.

That + trying to give a new photographer a shot because he's my boy which didn't work out then we had to get the new photo guy in there afterwards ended up costing me about a week of extra time but overall still really happy with the final result.Another thing, I always get a section 1 clearance and roof certification on my flips, in fact I try to get my clients who are selling their homes as well.EDIT: Forgot to mention the birdhouse part LOL the lady owned THIRTY BIRDS!!!

As appealing and fun as it seems, I am not too certain that house flipping will be my strategy of choice -- at least maybe not as my first deal -- as I am currently working a full-time W-2 and do not anticipate that I will have the time and resources to manage a flip.

Seems like a bit less craziness than in the suburbs, but product with outdoor space, parking, bonus square footage is especially appealing nowadays. 

If you're appealing to people who want an escape from digital distractions or a younger generation that increasingly uses streaming over cable, then probably not a big deal.
