Any amounts would be taxable distributions and likely subject to penalty.You can use your IRA for investing but the funds have to remain retirement funds and the normal strategies of growing the investments are limited a bit as explained above.You haven't asked this yet but I feel you may - you can't borrow from your IRA and generally, you can't invest with your IRA for the purchase of an investment property.

Stay clear of the sheriff's auction unless you are an experienced investorIn this case, the sheriff's auction was packed as I have never seen it and the bidding on my interest went way over my predetermined limit.

Something I’ve thought about for some time, but without action...you know....I’ve been studying and researching for a little over a year now, but making connections is my growth area so that I can form a good community to learn and work with.Whats the best thread/article you’ve come across on:- finding the first deal/learning with others executing a deal- creating a successful team (contractors, inspectors, real estate lawyers, etc.)- analyzing deals (preferably comparing 2 or more deals)There are so many threads here, so maybe this can help me get to some specific links or info a bit faster.

Purchasing "subject to" protections for buyers and sellers

If I do not refinance down the road to conventional financing, it will eventually allow me to purchase one more property in this manner before hitting the limit of 10 with conventional financing.I have never done a subject to deal before so I am not exactly sure how it will work on both ends.
