Especially if you aren't very familiar with certain areas, as of yet.Re mutli-family properties and just so you know, they do seem to come at a premium these days.Your down payment and type of loan will impact your deposit but some additional fees to take into consideration would be Title, Real Estate Taxes, Insurance, Transfer Taxes, Home Inspection(s) and possibly some other items.

As long as it's not chipping, sanded, or disturbed by construction, it isn't an issue.  

As Jon mentioned Biloxi is regulated but our other coastal beach towns are a little more relaxed.

In other words, the window of opportunity to acquire a coastal STR is closing, but those that secure a desirable and licensable property in 2024 will likely yield greater returns.
