I also read posts by others online who said that this is very common in large cities like Austin/Houston and college towns and that they advise to just keep renting the room and not cause any disturbance and that it will be fine as long as the landlord gets paid the rent monthly.

As daycare is scheduled for demolition per eminent domain order, tenant has refused to pay rent since 12/2017 and refuses to move, even though city says she must vacate by 6/22/18 which she defiantly has ignored.

So cities like Worcester or Lowell seem to fit the bill, but I'm very much open to new ideas and suggestions.Anyways, as I said before, I would love to meet/chat with any local investors, real estate agents, contractors, etc.

The lawn got out of control and because the property owner information hadn't been updated in the city's database yet, San Jose sent me a letter after someone complained (forwarded to me by the Post Office).The letter said I had so many days to remedy the situation and the city would send out an inspector to check.
