Alex Aronson 8 mortgage limit from Fannie MAE/MAC

At my local REIA meeting, there was a sentiment from the more veteran players (particularly the mortgage brokers) that Fannie MAE/MAC will change mortgage allowance from 4 to 8 soon to help relief the number of foreclosures on the market.Does anyone else have the same sentiment or has heard similar from their REIA?

Here's a different angle -- invest in yourself.Acquire in-demand skills/education (the medical field comes to mind) and you will always have a good-paying job to fund your endeavors.Live frugally and bank every penny you can for a few years and suddenly you will be a real player, with other people approaching you with deals.You're young.

Much better than CD's, but not exactly stellar for a risky, high-hassle real estate deal.Both calculations are saying this is an OK, but not great, deal at the price you're wanting to pay.I don't doubt you can get financing below 6%, but I do doubt you can get it for 10% down.

There is also an new player (Community Trust Company Ltd.) since I did my research a few years ago.As I mentioned in response to you in the other thread, I do not know if they also accommodate holding CCPC shares in a registered account, but I would suspect they would be more likely to do that than most of the bigger firms.
