If you ask the manager to justify a fee and he starts hemming and hawing, move on or require them to remove the fee.

If I wasn't making a profit, I wouldn't be able to do it any more and I would then have to either sell my properties, which would likely remove them from the rental market altogether (my properties are all in nice neighborhoods), or I would have to let them become run down since I would lack the capital to keep them up.

There have been a few situations where my tenants have chose to use spaces such as vestibules and hallways to store there items, and then when i question them about it, they say it’s garbage and can be thrown away then I’ll call a garbage removal company to come and get it.
