Or OSHA or the EPA show up on your job and decide to take a hard look at you... or someone realizes that legally, they should be a W2 instead of a W9 and decides to stick the DOL, IRS, and INS on you just because they didn't like the color of your shirt.

I hadn't thought about the more subdued entryways...but I think that is natural as people lean more towards craftsmen and modern styles vs. the Tuscan style villas of a decade ago.

If no one is there to make sure they stay on top of things you can wind up with notices from the city (been there done that got the t-shirt) I would go down periodically to see the homes I was trying to buy and learn the area.
