If you are planning on doing substantial work on the units and making them unlivable (no access to a bathroom or kitchen), there should be a provision for that allows you to evict them due to an unlivable remodel.

Staging / Recommendations before listing:  Great friend is a designer and has already made recommendations. 

It has it's own kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms and living & dining.

This past hurricane (Ida) was a whopper and flooded the first floor, destroying the 2 kitchens.

If anyone has a referral for a contractor capable of constructing and even planning/designing  ADU's or additions please share.  

It would likely be more expensive than a SFH as you'd need double the amount of kitchens, bathrooms, etc, but you're still only remodeling 2725 sq ft. 

I realize this is by design so if there is no way to see it, can anyone offer details or opinions on why it's great and why I should buy it?

Kitchen was a melted ice cream mess. 

Redid everything, completely new electrical, new plumbing. removed a few walls. new kitchen.
