I have walked around the property and inspected from the outside and have a pretty good idea of rehab costs and feel that this house, in this neighborhood, once rehabbed would be a very good investment. 

Scenario:For a single-family home rental property, the HVAC inspection identified that the furnace had a defective heat exchanger and needed to be fixed as soon as possible (safety hazards).

But finding out why it fell through or withdrew isn't as easy as listing agent will likely state it was something innocuous even if it was a horrible home inspection.
