We had the same issue on a flip, cloth wiring with no ground so it ALL had to be completely replaced as per Electrical Inspector & before signing off the permits.

It's more about that you have to have either different parcel numbers or some kind of recorded agreement with the buyer that you can continue to subdivide and they won't claim the ownership of the rest of the land.Will post on this thread if I find the solution, unless somebody answers here.
