I'd start the conversation with something like,  "I guess there was some miscommunication and my attorney said that before we got the police involved, to see if it can't be sorted out in a friendly fashion, so here we are".

In typical lawyer fashion, the most accurate answer to your question is "it depends" (sorry lol). 

But a lot of us aren't focusing on acquiring properties in this fashion. 

The environment is different now… The group that I work alongside on the syndication side are based in Mass. and do small syndications under 100 units in central & western MA.

Make sure they are not another wholesaler like New Western. 

What happens in the future when the term, "Housing Provider", and the other terms that you replace, "Landlord", with become either offensive or out of fashion?

The large companies that we have purchased wholesale deals from, like New Western, are licensed.
