My question is for the 2014 tax year, can I file a Schedule E to report my losses/expenses?

Its not rental income and should not be on the Sched E.

The rental requires a Schedule E along with calculating depreciation.  

And how can you be enough of an expert in so many asset classes (SFR flips, office buildings, MHP, hotels, apartments, etc...) that you can do proper due diligence on each deal?  

How do we properly set up a proper syndication to acquire rental units?
