Disposition of furniture included in lease on sale of property
30 September 2014 | 6 replies
The problem is that it is included in the lease and will remain at the property (with the tenant) through change in ownership.Upon a sale, the landlord will change so an argument could be made that the furniture would be returned to the new landlord instead of the named seller/current owner.Normally, this wouldn't warrant a post, but the deal is somewhat fragile and don't want to complicate it with a protracted negotiation over the furniture.Cheers,Wm
