I explained the win-win of their employees not being involved, gave them the inexpensive cost of my proposition, but they always say "We'll get back to you" and then never call back.The area I lived in before had a fair and equitable system where you contacted the state, sent your payment to them and they held it in escrow until the landlord complied.

@Gabriel Harper I think it's a losing proposition unless you charge a significantly higher fee or pay the owner a significantly reduced monthly income.Just off the top of my head, I suspect you would need around 25% of rent income to make it work.

Both of these applications play in the adventure tourism space and are free-ish.Concerns- Making a return on your investment with a new build sounds like a very tough proposition.

@Christopher Smith Yep, hopefully the voters of the state will wisely reject this proposition as they did with the last similar one back in 2018.The California Apartment Association helped lobby against the last one, and they’ve already started gearing up to try to get this one defeated.
