I had to meet with the President and pitch him the idea we had for the property and they were able to underwrite me based on the income I would be getting in the future (I had a contract to work for an Investment bank out of college) so anythings possible.

I might change my opinion and could be wrong but right now with the global chase for yield, QE, and a demand from the president and others for 0% or negative rates in the US I don't see how hard assets like real estate will decompress anytime soon.

I think we will be ok for the next 12-18 months, or the end of the Trump Presidency, regardless of your politics, the stock market loves Trump, so housing tends to follow generally by a year, this time it was right on que.

My solution: I called over 20 banks and talked to a loan officer/vice president, or both, at every single one until I convinced one to give us the loan.
