They are on pause right now, but they would be a great place to meet people locally.

Lending dried up, and I paused for a bit...Fast forward several years, I decided that SF rentals weren't creating wealth and income at the rate that I wanted, so I decided to do multifamily. 

I noticed a three week pause in March when the virus was spreading and we went on lock down.

Pausing foreclosures is something the govt would have needed to implement last session to avoid the initial wave.

There was a brief pause for a few weeks in late march / early april, but now we are back.

And FWIW, your tone and complaints about something that should have "taken him 5 minutes" would give a pause to many other tax professionals who could be interested to take you as a client.These days, any professional can be easily checked online for reputation, unless it's someone brand new. 

Most of the banks and credit unions in my area has put long term rental lending through LLC's on pause.  

Rather, mortgage lifetimes are simply extended for the same duration of time that they were paused.
