Unfortunately, you have already missed the "big" multifamily conference which is RealShare. 

This section states that requires the Owner to pay the defense fees and any settlement or judgment (regardless of whether the Owner's insurance covers it) except in the case of willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Now you've got the SEC on your back...You need to get your business structure, paperwork and processes looked at carefully by a good real estate and business attorney... and get ahead of this.. before you're paying big fee's on defense attorneys.However, be careful when you market your deal to an end buyer or investor.

I've attended the 3 day conference, quite a few years back now, but I'm assuming the content hasn't changed drastically.

Hence, no one can make a defensible claim that all markets react to solar one way or the other.

This really isn't the seller's decision it is the bank's you need to have the seller talk to the bank about this or maybe even set up a conference call with the seller and the bank. 

I had an insurance conference at the same time unfortunately.
