Having someone to bounce ideas off of and to take some pressure off as an early investor was great, and the shared responsibility (and costs) allowed us to leverage our efforts.

It seems like he bounced out with no explanation.

At this point in time, I would rather bet on a rental bounce locally (not necessarily in the city) based on a post-covid recovery, rather than perpetual shrinking cap rates in those hot out-of-state markets (given that cap rates here are potentially equal or better than those other markets atm, and we may be headed into a higher interest rate environment).That's not to say other markets won't make people money.

I was working as a pool man (new job now) and unfortunately my old boss screwed me out of $14,000 in payment so I’m starting from scratch looking to bounce back!!

After reviewing his unit that was listed by another company that had sat for 3 months I tried to schedule a showing.The automated email bounced back as not working and two separate phone numbers lead to a recording that said to leave a VM and they would call us back.After that I read the description on their unit and it instructed me to go watch a video of the unit on YouTube and apply through their website sight unseen.I am all for automation and leveraging technology but… this business requires professionals as well.
