Did you complete the renovations on a property?

The conditions on the ground going into the project may not be the same as when you complete!

I completed an internship in commercial real estate, and I also attended a couple of local REIA meetings/networking events before moving to Northern VA.I was able to narrow down potential strategies, and I figured both BRRR as well as wholesaling don't seem to be the best strategies for me.

I'm completely open..

FYI, if you're cash strapped - not the worst idea to potentially partner up with someone to soften the blow of the $30-$40k for the garage/rental completion. 

If it’s verbal, they’ll need to document any prior communication or payment records to establish the relationship.If the PM is completely unresponsive, they may want to send a formal written demand for communication and payments via certified mail.

Right now what I am looking at is buying homes that are nearing completion so I can inspect them as they are built, and then buying the finished 3bd 2ba home with unfinished basement and finishing the basement myself to rent it as a 6bd 3ba.

This is very frustrating given that I was under the impression that I could just roll the entire retirement balances over to a IRA and then have complete control to invest that money into properties. 

Given this was our first time purchasing an investment property, working with a partner on a cash deal, and understanding how to get FSBO deal completed, we had to learn a ton and ran into multiple challenges.

There are definitely risks that will be completely outside of the auction house.
