After diving into LTR in SFHs for the last few years, we are interested in purchasing a home (preferably lakefront or lakeview) with dock access on Table Rock Lake. 

I've been quoted by a few however some declined coverage for being a log cabin semi close to the lake and a 2nd home or did not cover loss-of-rent.anything works!

We grew up on the River and then Leonard Lake - I understand and agree about the winter - I live in Victoria BC right now, but have debated owning a lake front property in Muskoka - trouble is, with the changing Short Term rental situation, could be difficult to take on - I would love to go there in the summer for example. 

We just have streaming services at our lake house.

A lot of lake home options that can make for an easy Vacation home 10% down and then transition into a rental.

I've checked their track record they never lose money (or perhaps they have not yet enter a black swan event lol). lol, but the minimum is half million bucks. 

I would suggest you focus on areas like Polk county, Lake county, Marion and Sumter county.

Location of the unit is right up against that Lake Pueblo State park too.

My Vrbo account manager sent me an invitation to a Vrbo mastermind meeting.They went over settings you can change.I did change my direct booking setting from direct booking with 7 day window to just direct book.I changed some of my minimum stay settings and made sure sure I had a discount for week or longer bookings.I got 2 different 7 day bookings in June this afternoon at our Lake house.Coincidence?
